A formulation which allows a substantial reduction in the viscous component of the total frictional resistance produced by a boat or a board moving in water is described. This formulation is essentially composed of: (a) 20 to 30% by weight of a mixture of C2<SUB>0</SUB>-C<SUB>50 </SUB>paraffinic hydrocarbons; (b) 50 to 70% by weight of a mixture of C<SUB>7</SUB>-C<SUB>12</SUB> hydrocarbons; (c) 10 to 20% by weight of a chlorotrifluoroethylene homopolymer, where the abovementioned percentages are to be understood as being relative to the total weight of the formulation. |
