The base has transverse segments with roof-shaped tunnel unit (2) having an air passage that is provided at a longitudinal side and covered using a slit hole cover. The cover has round or groove- and nozzle-shaped openings that are running transverse to the longitudinal direction in such a manner that supplied air discharges in a defined flow direction and a bulk material is fed to a side of the segments. A lateral outlet opening (25) is closed by a slider and is provided in a side wall (8) that connects the segments among themselves and has a width that corresponds to the air passage.
