An anisotropic conductive film having differential thickness is provided to protect the surface of an electrode formed on a substrate and to enhance reliance when driver IC chips are electrically connected to the substrate of a liquid crystal display device using the same film. An anisotropic conductive film(10) has fixed length, width, and thickness so as to electrically connect upper and lower members to each other. The anisotropic conductive film(10) having differential thickness satisfies the following relation of T<T', wherein T is a thickness of one end of the anisotropic conductive film(10) and T' is a thickness of the other end. The upper member to be connected is a flexible printed circuit board comprising tabs and IC chips. The lower member to be connected is an indium tin oxide foil-treated glass substrate.
