<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing and structure simplification of a pointing device provided with an operational body that moves in accordance with an operation direction and operating force and can be returned to an initial position by the release of the operating force. <P>SOLUTION: The pointing device is provided with a plate spring 70 for energizing the operational body 20 so as to be returned to the initial position by the release of the operating force while allowing the movement of the operational body corresponding to the operating force, and a distortion gauge 90 or the like for electrically detecting distortion that occurs in the plate spring 70 in order to form a signal corresponding to an operation to the operational body 20. Accordingly, since the signal corresponding to the operation can be formed from the distortion that occurs in the plate spring for energizing the operational body 20 so as to be returned to the initial position, the need of measuring the inclination or the like of the operational body is eliminated to enable downsizing and simplification of the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
