<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is a risk of causing deterioration of characteristics or qualities of an electronic component and an electronic instrument using a quartz crystal plate formed from an artificial quartz crystal body because when it is tried to incorporate a specific substance into a quartz crystal in order to improve the characteristics of the quartz crystal, a plurality of kinds of substances are incorporated together with the specific substance and most of the incorporated substances except the specific substance become causative substances causing deterioration of the characteristics of the artificial quartz crystal, in a hydrothermal synthesis method. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the artificial quartz crystal body includes: a process for vapor depositing a first electrode film containing an alkali metal and a second electrode film on the surface of an artificial quartz crystal body; a process for applying an electric field between the first electrode film and the second electrode film to ionize the alkali metal in the first electrode film and doping the ionized alkali metal into the artificial quartz crystal body; and a process for removing the first and second electrode films from the surface of the artificial quartz crystal body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
