<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an internal combustion engine having improved intake efficiency while suppressing the complication of construction. <P>SOLUTION: The intake device 100 comprises a manifold 1, a partition wall 2 extending from a portion of the manifold 1 where a surge tank 5 is located to the downstream side thereof for partitioning the manifold 1 into a high speed port 3 and a low speed port 4, and a valve element 7 provided near the downstream end of the partition wall 2. The partition wall 2 is provided for differentiating the passage length of the high speed port 3 from that of the low speed port 4.
