PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste ink tank in which the level of the liquid surface of waste ink can be accurately detected without being influenced by generated bubbles. SOLUTION: The waste ink I entered through a waste ink inlet port 106 accumulates in the bottom of the waste ink tank 100 at an initial state, and a large amount of bubbles S is formed on the waste ink I. Further entering of waste ink I through the waste ink inlet port 106 causes the waste ink I to approach to a bubble removing member 112 together with the bubbles S from under the bubble removing member 112, allowing the bubble S to be absorbed in the bubble removing member 112 and removed, with only the waste ink I passed through the bubble removing member 112. When the waste ink I passed through the bubble removing member 112 reaches an electrode 116a after passing through an electrode 116b, a liquid surface detection sensor 116 can detect the liquid surface of the waste ink I, to judge that the waste ink tank 100 becomes full.
