PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image information reader in which effective reduction in the size and weight of the entire vibration-proof system is achieved, and improved impact resistance performance and also a low cost are achieved. SOLUTION: The radiographic image information reader includes: a cassette loading section 16 in which a cassette 14 for holding an accumulative phosphor panel 12 is loaded; and a reading section 26 for photo-electrically reading radiographic information accumulatively recorded on the accumulative phosphor panel 12. The reading section 26 includes: a vibration-proof mechanism 36 for preventing vibration of the reading section 26 by separating the reading section 26 from the cassette 14; and a clamping mechanism 40 for stopping the vibration-proof function of the vibration-proof mechanism 36 temporarily and transferring the accumulative phosphor panel 12 between the cassette 14 and reading section 26.
