PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of an air pump by inhibiting sliding noise, fluid noise, operation noise and the like generated by operation of the air pump without attaching an external muffler. SOLUTION: A resonance space 10 communicated to a discharge hole 2 by an introduction passage 11 is provided between a pump housing 1 and a plate 3 touching the pump housing and including the discharge hole 2 discharging air from the pump chamber 6. Consequently, noise of a specific frequency component of sliding noise, fluid noise, operation noise and the like radiated from the discharge hole 7 is inhibited by resonance effect of the resonance space 10, and noise of the air pump can be reduced without increasing the number of parts and without increasing pump volume.
