PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden house which is proof against an earthquake, excellent in ventilation performance, and exerts sufficient air-conditioning effect in a room by circulating air. SOLUTION: The wooden house is formed of an inner wall 2 and an outer wall 3 erected on a sill 1, floor materials 6 laid on part of the sill 1, a first vent hole 8 formed of a groove formed in an upper surface of the sill 1, and a second vent hole 12 formed in a lower end of the inner wall 2. Thus the house has formed therein a first air passage A1 which allows an underfloor space 9 defined under the floor materials 6 to communicate via the first vent hole 8 with a cavity 11 between the inner and outer walls 2, 3, and a second air passage A2 which allows the cavity 11 between the inner and outer walls 2, 3 to communicate via the second vent hole 12 with an indoor space 13 above the floor materials 6.
