SHORT-CIRCUIT TEST METHOD OF ELECTRODE PLATE GROUP FOR LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a short-circuit test of an electrode plate group for a lead-acid battery using a bag-like separator to be surely executed. SOLUTION: When the short-circuit test of the electrode group 1 for a lead-acid battery where either positive electrode plates 4 or negative electrode plates 2 each having a lug part in an upper part thereof are housed in the bag-like separator 3, the short-circuit test of the electrode plate group 1 is executed by applying a test voltage between the positive electrode plates and the negative electrode plates of the electrode plate group 1 from a test voltage application device 13 with a part nearer to the upper end than to the center part in the vertical direction of the electrode plate group 1 pressed in the stacking direction of the electrode plate group by a pressing device 10.
