PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safety file in a simple operation by means of a document keeping file. SOLUTION: The document keeping file has a binding tool 1 made of synthetic resin, provided at a back part Aa in the center of a cover paper A made of cardboard and the like, in a channel shape and is equipped with a retainer plate 3 having two shafts 5 through hinges 3a and 4a on both sides of a base 2 and a shaft holding body 4 as opposed to the retainer plate 3. The shaft holding body 4 is in a box-like shape, incorporating a stopper 6 in a space 4a and on the side face of the box-like body 4, a hole 7 is opened so that the terminal of the two shafts 5 of the retainer plate 3 can be freely inserted simultaneously. A terminal affixed with a notch 5a of the shaft 5 fixed to the hole 7 freely for insertion at any time can be engaged with an end part of the stopper 6 and engages so as to freely lock and release engagement between the shaft holding body 4 and the shaft 5. A fulcrum action causes a slender spring-like shape extending to the notch 5a of the two shafts 5 of the stopper 6 to deflect to separate the end part from the notch 5a of the two shafts 5, by pressing a top part of a knob 6a.
