PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate cutting apparatus which can efficiently form a molded article with a high quality by appropriately cutting a gate part, and can execute a precise cutting by omitting an effort for correction and recovering the displacement even when a strain is generated in a resin molded body caused by heat shrinkage, and a position for cutting the gate part by a cutting blade is displaced. SOLUTION: By heating the resin molded body 4 by a heating device 6, a temperature difference between the cutting blade and the gate part 3 is made small to cut the gate part 3, and crack is prevented from generating to suppress deterioration of the quality of the molded article 1. In addition, even when the strain is generated by heat shrinkage caused by cooling by natural heat emission of the resin molded body 4, and the position C for cutting the gate part 3 by the cutting blade is displaced, the strain and the displacement of the position C for cutting generated by the strain are corrected by heating the resin molded body 4, to recover the resin molded body 4 to a condition before heat shrinkage.
