PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can prevent a membrane from forming on a front face of a recording head that becomes the cause of density irregularities, and which can form a high-quality image also in image formation to a large recording medium. SOLUTION: When a received image to be formed is transferred to the head, regardless of a position of the image, dots are added so as to appear regularly discrete dots on the recording medium.
