PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing rolled female screw component harsly causing defective screwing by suppressing the occurrence of an indentation in the crest part of a screw thread and to obtain a rolled male screw component hardly causing the defective screwing even when being screwed into the female screw component having the indentation in the crest part of the screw thread. SOLUTION: When the shape and dimensional relationship between a rolling tap 350 and a prepared hole 402 (diameter d2) in a prepared hole-formed part 404 are determined so that the volume Va of the depressed part of an area A enclosed by points a, b, c of a base stock 400 for female screws which is pressed and depressed by the screw thread 352 of the rolling tap 350 is larger than the volume Vb of a void part in an area B which is the void part enclosed by points c, d, e formed with a thread groove forming part 356 of the rolling tap 350 and the prepared hole formed part 404, when the base material in the prepared hole formed part 404 is pressed and removed with the screw thread 352 of the rolling tap 350, the void part can be sufficiently filled up by protrusion in the area B of the base material in the prepared hole formed part 404 and the generation of the indentation in the crest part of the screw thread of the female screw is suppressed.
