The present invention relates to methods and compositions for modulating glucose transport. More particularly, the present invention relates to the identification of polypeptides, including CDK7, which are involved in the modulation of glucose transport. The invention further relates to methods fo r identifying and using agents, including small biomolecules, antibodies, peptides, nucleic acids, RNAi and antisense, that modulate glucose transport by altering the expression or activity of the glucose transport related polypeptides identified.
