<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively preventing carrier scattering by preferentially discharging toner of unnecessary particle size and also toner electrified by unnecessary quantity, according to the environmental conditions in the process of refreshing a developing roller. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 comprises an image forming part 15, an image input part 20, a fixing part 26, an A/D conversion part 40, a printed-sheets counter 42, a control part 43, a storage part 44, a control panel 45 and a temperature sensor 46. At the start of the apparatus, or at the mode-setting by user, or when the counted value by the counter 42 reaches a prescribed number of sheets, refreshing process of discharging the toner on the developing roller 4a in a developing unit 4 toward a photoreceptor drum 1 side, is carried out by the control part 43, and also the duty ratio of AC bias voltage to be applied on the developing roller 4a at the refreshing process is decided by the control part 43, based on the detection result by the temperature sensor 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
