PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wasteful request operation, such as data transmission requests, etc. when a communication terminal becomes communication disabled with a computer terminal connected to a computer network, and to dispense with user's operation for reconnecting with the computer terminal. SOLUTION: A car navigation 3 is constituted to be connectable with a portable telephone 4, performs data communication with the computer terminal 9 connected to the Internet 8 via the portable telephone 4, and is provided with a communication control unit 30 which controls data communication via the portable telephone 4. The communication control unit discriminates whether the portable telephone 4 is not able to perform data communication with the computer terminal 9, if it is determined that the data communication is not enabled, the device is composed to request to carry out communication connection with the computer terminal 9 to the portable telephone 4, after having requested disconnection of communication connection with the computer terminal 9 with respect to the portable telephone 4.
