PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the workability of a self-propelled snow blower equipped with an engine-driven snow-removing operation section. SOLUTION: This snow blower 10 comprises: an engine 14 for driving the snow-removing operation section 13 such as an auger provided in a blower body 19; an electronic governor 65 for adjusting the degree of opening of each of the choke valve 73 and throttle valve 71 of the engine; electric motors 21L and 21R which can vary the traveling speeds of traveling sections 11L and 11R for traveling the blower body; a control section 61 which controls the electronic governor, and which controls the traveling speed by associating the engine with the electric motors; and a target-speed adjusting section 53 for giving the control section instructions on the target speed of the electric motor. In the satisfaction of the starting condition that the choke valve is in the middle of being driven, the control section performs control so that the ratio of a decrease in the traveling speed to an increase in the degree of the opening of the throttle valve can become lower than during the stop of the choke valve.
