PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared sensing system which has two infrared sensors mounted on a rotary stage and can eliminate blurring occurring in an image created on the basis of the sensed infrared rays. SOLUTION: The infrared sensing system has a first and second infrared sensors are mounted on the rotary stage. The first or second infrared sensors comprises an optical system for acquiring infrared rays from an object under observation, a sensing element for sensing the acquired infrared rays, and a cooling device for maintaining the temperature of the sensing element at an appropriate temperature. The first and second infrared sensors are installed in a position on the rotary stage so that a torque occurring about a rotary axis of the rotary stage through the reciprocation of a piston accompanied by cooling operation by the cooling device is canceled by the rotary torque of the cooling device of the first infrared sensor and the rotary torque of the cooling device of the second infrared sensor.
