PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide synthetic leather having an excellent trichophyton-resisting performance not possessed by conventional synthetic leather, capable of producing an excellent effect of preventing infection of athlete's foot, nor aggravation thereof, and preferably, excellent in a feeling, a feel of touch, and surface abrasion strength, and further capable of being developed into use for an insole and a bottom material of footwear. SOLUTION: This synthetic leather having trichophyton-resisting properties is formed by directly or indirectly laminating a polyurethane film surface layer on a base cloth comprising one of fiber structure selected from a nonwoven fabric, a woven fabric, and a knitted fabric, wherein the polyurethane film surface layer contains a metal compound containing at least one metal selected from a group consisting of Zn, Cu, and Ag and having antibacterial properties.
