PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transporting a polyalkylene oxide-based water-soluble resin, preventing the resin from quality deterioration while facilitating its handleability, and capable of easily attaining the convenience, labor mitigation, time cutting and cost reduction for the transportation-related work itself. SOLUTION: The method for transporting the polyalkylene oxide-based water-soluble resin is provided; wherein the resin includes, other than a polyalkylene oxide-based water-soluble polymer, 0.1-90 wt.%, based on the whole resin, of a polar solvent free from active hydrogen, resulting in being 100,000 p or lower in viscosity at 40°C. The method involves the following procedure: The above resin is packed in a transport container equipped with such thermoregulating ability as to keep the resin within the temperature range of higher than the resin's melting temperature but lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the polyalkylene oxide-based water-soluble polymer, wherein when the resin is to be packed in and/or discharged out of the container, a pump is used.
