PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle display system and method capable of verifying, on a front window, an existing position of an obstacle detected by an image data picked up. SOLUTION: This obstacle display system acquires the image data picked up by an imaging device for picks up the outside of a vehicle, performs image recognition processing, detects an obstacle based on the processed result and displays the detected obstacle. Specifically, this system determines the presence of the obstacle in the image data acquired from the imaging device, calculates a distance and a direction to the obstacle if yes, calculates a danger degree of a collision based on the calculated distance and direction, and displays the presence of the obstacle near a position on a front window corresponding to an existing direction of the obstacle when viewed from the driver.
