Catalyst test unit facilitates the simultaneous and sequential testing of a large number of solid material catalyst samples

The recesses (7) holding the catalytic substances are arranged in a matrix. The test unit also incorporates a charging device which combines and places catalysts from different batches into appropriately arranged recesses for the same test. An assembly (1) tests the catalytic effect of solids in the presence of a reactant gas. The unit (1) has a number of recesses (7) each with a gas supply (8) and holding the respective catalyst under test. All catalytic substances are exposed to the gas at the same time. The resulting gaseous products are surrendered separately through passages to an analytical device.
