摘要 |
A heat-assisted magnetic recording head is provided to realize small optical spot size as associating with an existing magnetic head process, thus a high-density recording process is available while monolithic manufacturing of the head is possible. A magnetic field forming unit(120) forms a magnetic field for recording. A beam source(140) irradiates a beam for heating a predetermined area of a recording surface for a recording medium. A wave guide(152) is disposed on one side of the magnetic field forming unit(120), and transmits the beam irradiated from the beam source(140). An optical path converter converts a path of the transmitted beam, and makes the converted beam turn towards the predetermined area of the recording surface. A nano aperture(154) generates an enhanced near field by changing energy distribution of the beam transmitted via the optical path converter.
