PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow electric contact suitable for a battery contact when a battery having a distinct length is incorporated in a batter box. SOLUTION: A battery lid 12 for opening and closing an opening of a box part 11 for selectively installing size AA batteries small in length and a CR-V3 battery large in length therein through the opening is provided with a rotary button 13 settable at a plurality of rotational positions for locking the battery lid into a closed state at a desired rotational position. When it is set at a first rotational position corresponding to size AA batteries, lid-side battery contacts 17 are forcibly deformed toward the box part 11. When the size AA batteries are stored, each bottom surface of the size AA batteries D1 is pressed by forcibly displacing the tips of the lid-side battery contacts 17, they are deeply pressed into the box part 11 and fixed battery contacts 14 are bent as planned and brought into contact with electrodes similarly to the case of a long battery such as a CR-V3 battery.
