PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature core and a motor capable of reducing cogging torque more than conventional types while suppressing a drop of an output torque of a motor. SOLUTION: Air-gaps 40 crossing a peripheral direction of cylindrical yokes 11 are formed at all of connecting portions 11T between teeth for connecting between adjacent teeth 12, 12 in the cylindrical yokes 11. A flux by a segment magnet 35 of the motor M does not pass through the air gaps 40, so that suction power between the segment magnet 35 and the teeth 12 is reduced by the air gaps 40. Thus, the cogging torque is reduced, and reductions in vibration and noise from the motor M can be also improved. On the other hand, the flux by excitation of an electromagnetic coil 50 passes through the air gaps 40, so that a drop in the output torque of the motor M is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
