<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of a polyolefin resin that is excellent in water resistance, adhesion and heat sealability and is suitable for use in various kinds of coating agents, a coating material, an ink, a binder for an adhesive and the like and to provide a process for preparing the aqueous dispersion of the polyolefin resin. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion of the polyolefin resin comprises a chlorine-free polyolefin resin having a content of a 3-6C unsaturated hydrocarbon of 50-98 mass% and a content of an unsaturated carboxylic acid unit of 0.5-20 mass%, a basic compound, and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 185-300°C and having no or one hydroxy group in the molecule and contains substantially no nonvolatile auxiliary for dispersing or solubilizing the resin in an aqueous medium, wherein the polyolefin resin dispersed in the aqueous dispersion has a number-average particle size of 1μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
