PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart permanent antifouling property to a coated surface of a building board without degrading a coat of the surface. SOLUTION: In production of the building board, a coating material to form the coat, and by applying an antifouling agent obtained by dispersing fine silica particles in water, to an upper surface of the coat in an undried state (uncured state), the adhesiveness of an antifouling layer to the coat is improved. The coat on the surface of the building board, which has been treated by the antifouling agent, rarely undergoes degradation, and the coated surface exhibits the durable antifouling properties, whereby the building board is advantageous when used as an external wall material etc. exposed to the outside.
