PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object sensor for an opening/closing device, which dispenses with provision of a plurality of control devices, is good in productivity and maintainability, and low in cost, and to provide the opening/closing device with the object sensor for the same. SOLUTION: The object sensor for the opening/closing device is formed of: transmitters 10 each for transmitting an object detecting signal when an object is detected on one side of an opening/closing body b1 of the opening/closing device B, toward a closing terminal; acquiring sections 21 each for acquiring a signal transmitted from the transmitter; and the control device 20 for issuing a predetermined control command to the opening/closing device B in response to input from the acquiring section 21. Herein the object sensor has a plurality of pairs of the transmitters 10 and the acquiring sections 21, in which each transmitter 10 is paired up with the acquiring section 21, and a plurality of signals output from the respective acquiring sections 21 are input into the single control device 20 which then issues predetermined control signals in response to the signals input thereto.
