PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the clogging of a tundish nozzle in a continuous casting caused by Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>base inclusion, in the case of producing a high Al steel, such as nitriding steel, and improving the cleanliness of the high Al steel. SOLUTION: In a secondary refining method of the high Al steel, the reaction of Al in the molten steel and SiO<SB>2</SB>in slag is restrained so as to prevent the contamination of molten steel, by performing strong deoxidation with Al in the molten steel and strong stirring at the initial stage of slag-making time in the secondary refining with a ladle refining to the high Al steel to control SiO<SB>2</SB>concentration in the slag composition to reduce to≤0.30%.
