PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing toy by which a user can safely play a fishing game without using a sharp tool such as a fishhook, and at the same time, can enjoy a thrill at the time of raising. SOLUTION: This fishing toy is equipped with a floating body 2, and a fishing tool 1. In this case, the upper surface of the floating body 2 is formed into a flat surface, and the floating body 2 is formed of a material having a specific gravity by which the upper surface can be exposed on a water level, and imitates the configuration of a creature such as fishes and others. The fishing tool 1 is suspended by a flexible thread material 4 on the distal end of a fishing pole 3, and is equipped with a fishing board 5 having a flat lower surface 5c which can closely be joined to the upper surface of the floating body through a water film 8. When the flat lower surface of the fishing board 5 comes into contact with the upper surface of the floating body 2 which floats on the water through the water film 8, the floating body 2 is held by a suction force, and raised.
