PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner equipped with a convenient dust collecting case which enables the extraction of the dust attached to a filter while the dust in the dust collecting case is discharged by opening a cover and enables the visual recognition of the dust clogging situation of the filter without removing the filter. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes an electric blower 13 which is disposed in a main body of the cleaner 1 and generates a suction air, and the dust collecting case 30 which is removably stored on the upstream side of the suction air of the electric blower 13 in the main body of the cleaner 1, wherein the dust collecting case 30 is composed of an approximately boxy main body section 31 which has a suction hole 32 to communicate with a suction aperture 5 of the main body of the cleaner 1 on the upstream side of the suction air and is equipped with an opened orifice 33 disposed on the downstream side of the suction air, and a cover assembly body 50 which is comprised of the two or more filters and is turnably supported by an upper part or a lower part of the opened orifice 33 of the dust collecting case 30 by being integrally connected at one end to open and close the opened orifice 33 of the main body section 31.
