PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a nut facilitating rotation operation with a weak force. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has a pair of hood parts 15 and 16 which are arranged at the front and rear of a reel leg-carrying part 13 so as to face to each other, and of which at least one is constituted so as to be moved by rotating the nut 20. The nut 20 to be rotated has the outer periphery constituted of a combination of at least grooves 21 having wider widths and grooves 22 having narrower widths in the shaft length direction.
