PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea leaf plucker capable of preventing the tea leaf from being damaged and further capable of preventing efficiency of gathering the tea leaf from decreasing. SOLUTION: This tea leaf plucker is equipped with a plucking device 4 which is positioned on a frame 1 at an approximately central area in a longitudinal direction thereof, by being downward projected from the frame 1 and extended in a transverse direction thereof. The tea leaf which approaches an opening of a casing 4a of the plucking device 4 is taken in by a rotary knife 4b, nipped between the rotary knife 4b and a stationary knife 4c, and cut off. An air flow which is sent from a fan 10 through an air blasting duct 9 and air blasting hood 8 is supplied into a transport hood 5 from a through hole 13 opened on a rear side surface of the transport hood 5 communicating with the casing 4a. The tea leaf is sucked into the transport hood 5 from the casing 4a of which the pressure is made to be lower than that of the inside of the transport hood 5, then forcedly fed through a transport duct 6, and collected into a container 27. Because the tea leaf is sucked and forcedly fed only by the air flow from the through hole 13, damage to the tea leaf caused by a turbulent flow of air, breakage of the tea leaf caused by a jet flow of the air, and breakage of the tea leaf caused by collision thereof against a nozzle projected into a transport channel are prevented.
