PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll with very high durability which constantly grinds a surface to be ground without detachment of grinding abrasives, or bending and cutting of hairs. SOLUTION: This roll 1 grinds and removes iron powder and nonferrous metal powder adhering on the surface made of iron and nonferrous metal. Roll pieces 5 constituting the roll are formed of a sheet-like nonwoven fabric A having fibers integrated with filament and grinding abrasives via an adhesive, and a plurality of the roll pieces are overlaid with each other.
