PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cleaning apparatus, making it easy to feed a pack rice from a rice throwing opening, which has, as the rice throwing opening, a part with an opening opened, of a rice cleaning tank, which is arranged belower a case for containing a driving part and projects forwards from belower the case, a rotary shaft positioned centrally above the rice cleaning tank in the rice cleaning tank, and an agitation rod fixed at the rotary shaft, wherein the agitation rod consists of a horizontal pounder part extending outwards from the rotary shaft of diameter and a longitudinal pounder part extending downwards from the extending end of the horizontal pounder part, also the agitation rod with a different length of the horizontal pounder part is arranged to be spaced out in the peripheral direction of the rotary shaft, and then the rotary shaft is made to rotate to clean a rice in the rice cleaning tank by the agitation rod. SOLUTION: The agitation rod A is made to stop so that the agitation rod A4 with the shorter horizontal pounder part 66 is positioned below the rice throwing opening 22 of the agitation rod A having the horizontal part 66 with the length projecting belower the rice throwing opening 22 in throwing the pack rice from belower the case 3.
