PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which eliminates a coating-coming-off defect to improve a productivity and a coating appearance quality of a coating liquid to a coating workpiece, and a coating device. SOLUTION: The coating method of the coating liquid comprises the steps of resupplying the coating liquid from a source of supply to a coating liquid container communicating with the source, of supplying the coating liquid from the coating liquid container to a mouthpiece communicating with the container to discharge the coating liquid from the mouthpiece, and of applying the coating liquid to the coating workpiece by a relative movement of the coating workpiece and the mouthpiece. According to the coating method of the coating liquid, the resupply is carried out by flowing the coating liquid in from a first opening provided on a position between the coating liquid surface lower limit and a position of 10% from beneath between the bottom face of the coating liquid container and the lower limit of the coating liquid surface. The supply is carried out by allowing the coating liquid to flow out from a second opening provided on below the first opening to a direction different from the flowing-in direction.
