PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of efficiently performing snow melting and defrosting of a prescribed portion of an outer door or a vending machine body, and allowing suppression of power consumption. SOLUTION: The vending machine has: the vending machine body 10 having an opened front face; the outer door 20 for opening/closing the front face of the vending machine; and a defrosting heater 14 for heating the front face opening edge of the vending machine body. The vending machine also has: a temperature detector 41 for detecting an outside air temperature; and a second control part 40 for starting the defrosting heater 14 when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 41 becomes not more than a prescribed temperature.
