PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet discrimination device for easily and accurately positioning a sensor part and an opposite part regardless of the skill level of an operator. SOLUTION: This paper sheet discrimination device 10 is provided with a magnetic sensor part 40 having a magnetic sensor 45 for performing detection for discrimination from a paper sheet, an opposite roller 50 arranged so as to be opposite to the magnetic sensor part 40 and an energizing part 60 for making a positioning bearing 51 abut on a positioning member 42 by energizing the opposite roller 50 to a direction where it approaches the magnetic sensor 40.
