PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-plating method for plating a metallic sheet with a metallic thin film having an excellent evenness of a coating weight. SOLUTION: This metal-plating method for the metallic sheet comprises the steps of: covering the metallic sheet with metallic particles having an average particle diameter of 1/3 or less of an average thickness of a film to be plated; and heating the metallic sheet to a melting point of the metallic particle or higher. The metal-plating method for the metallic sheet alternatively comprises the steps of: heating the metallic sheet to a melting point of the metallic particle or higher beforehand; and covering the metallic sheet with metallic particles having an average particle diameter of 1/3 or less of an average thickness of a film to be plated. When covering the metallic sheet with the metallic particles in the above step, it is preferable to spout the metallic particles onto the metallic sheet by using a nozzle, or to electrify the metallic particles and spray them with an electrostatic spraying method.
