PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling clothing insects pests which uses a drug retainer for supporting a clothing insect pest controlling component on a drug retaining carrier. SOLUTION: The method of controlling clothing insect pests comprises installing a drug retainer which supports a clothing insect pest controlling on a drug retaining carrier in a place where clothing is housed, and the drug retaining carrier is composed of a three-dimensional knitted fabric constituted of a face and back two-layered knitted fabric and connecting yarns which connect the two-layered knitted fabric, and at least one layer of the knitted fabric in the two-layered knitted fabric is a mesh knitted fabric, and a plurality of the connecting yarns extend from one knitted loop which constitutes the mesh knitted fabric to different knitted loops of the other layer of the knitted fabric to be connected to them.
