PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new use of a peptide having the No. 1231 to 1236 amino acid sequence of tenesin C (GenBank Accession No. NP-002151) originated from human. SOLUTION: The peptide comprising the No. 1231 to 1236 amino acid sequence of tenesin C (GenBank Accession No. NP-002151) originated from human has an action for activating syndecan-4 and PKCα. Thereby, the peptide comprising the No. 1231 to 1236 amino acid sequence of tenesin C (GenBank Accession No. NP-002151) originated from human is useful as an agent for activating syndecan-4 and PKCα.
