PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea beverage containing anthocyanin, having 500-550 nm of maximal absorption of visible light, and taking on color ranging from red to pink: and to provide a method for extracting the beverage. SOLUTION: The tea beverage contains anthocyanin and has <pH 5.5. The method for producing the tea beverage comprises extracting the tea beverage from plants containing anthocyanin at <pH 5.5.
