A plant for purifying radioactively contaminated waste water is based on two clarification vessels in series, each having a water inlet, a fixed bed and/or packing suitable for microbial growth, gas supply and abstraction devices, where a pressure measuring site after the water outlet from the second vessels is used to control the gas supplies to both vessels. A plant for purifying radioactively contaminated waste water comprises first and second clarification vessels (CV1) and (CV2), each having a water inlet (for waste water in (CV1) or partially clarified water in (CV2)), a fixed bed and/or packing suitable for microbial growth, gas supply and abstraction devices, clarified sludge outlet(s) in the sedimentation region and water outlet(s) above the sedimentation region (for partially clarified water in (CV1) or clarified water in (CV1) and (CV2)). In both (CV1) and (CV2) the gas flows through the fixed bed and/or packing; abstracted gas is completely or partially recycled to the gas supply and optionally partially released from the plant. The water outlet of (CV1) is connected to the water inlet of (CV2), and a pressure measuring site after the water outlet from (CV2) is used to control the gas supplies to (CV1) and (CV2). An independent claim is included for a clarification stage of a waste water treatment plant, including an adsorber-filter containing weakly basic strong macroporous anion exchanger, a cation exchanger, iron-doped macroporous polyacrylate and activated carbon.
|
