<p>A sample container (1) having a cap (3) installed on a container body (2) for receiving a liquid sample containing a reagent and a specimen. The cap (3) has an outer cap (31) attached on the container body (2), an inner cap (32) slidably assembled to the outer cap and having an opening (32a) for dispensing the liquid sample, a shutter (33) driven in association with movement of the inner cap and openably covering the opening of the inner cap, a conversion member (34) assembled to the outer cap and having formed on it an engagement section (34c) for engaging with and guiding the shutter, the engagement section (34c) inclining from the center to the outer edge of the cap so as to reduce its height, and an urging member placed between the outer cap and the inner cap and urging the inner cap toward the closing direction of the shutter. Sliding motion of the inner cap is converted by the conversion member into sliding motion of the shutter, thereby the inner cap is opened and closed.</p> |
