A core is composed of two O-type cores and an I-type core separated from the two cores. In a transformer provided with such type cores, assemblability is improved by assembling the first O-type core, a bobbinless coil block and a second O-type core on a terminal block by successively stacking them. The first O-type core is assembled from one side, and the bobbinless coil block and the second O-type core are assembled from the other side so as to stack them on the terminal block. The first O-type core, the bobbinless coil block, the second O-type core and the terminal block are stacked and assembled.
