PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimetric value calculation device and a calculation method for performing excellent image display in consideration of the difference of a device control value or the size difference of an image area (the number of pixels) in a colorimetric object domain and in its peripheral domain when performing colorimetry of an image displayed on a display device, a display device calibration device and a method using the calculated colorimetric value, and a display device profile forming device and a forming method.

SOLUTION: This colorimetric value calculation device is characterized by including an image preparation means for colorimetry for forming a plurality of images for colorimetry expressed by different device control values, an image display means for colorimetry for displaying the images for colorimetry, a colorimetric means for acquiring the colorimetric value by performing colorimetry of a colorimetric object domain in the images for colorimetry, a storage means for storing the colorimetric values in the plurality of colorimetric object domains of the images for colorimetry expressed by the different device control values wherein each peripheral domain in the colorimetric object domain is different, and a colorimetric value calculation means for calculating the colorimetric value in the colorimetric object domain in consideration of the difference of the device control value in the peripheral domain based on the colorimetric value.
