<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely harden and fix an ink impacting on a recording medium while preventing an impact interference from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises a first liquid discharging means, a second liquid discharging means, and a first radiation irradiation means. In this case, the first liquid discharging means discharges a first liquid containing a color material onto the recording medium while moving for scanning in two ways in the direction which is approximately orthogonal to the carrying direction of the recording medium. The second liquid discharging means discharges a second liquid prior to the first liquid at least onto a region of the recording medium on which the first liquid impacts while being arranged on both sides in the scanning direction of the first liquid discharging means and moving for scanning together with the first liquid discharging means. The first radiation irradiation means irradiates the region of the recording medium on which the first and second liquids impact with the radiation ray while being arranged on both sides in the scanning direction of the first liquid discharging means, and being scanning integrally with the first liquid discharging means.
