<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of printing stably in both picture quality and cost. <P>SOLUTION: According to a picture quality mode during print output, a selection between a mixture of a collected developer and a fresh developer, and only the fresh developer is made in an image forming apparatus equipped with at least an image carrier, a developing means, and a transfer means. The image forming apparatus is equipped with: a collecting means of collecting a developer remaining on an image carrier after transfer; a developing means for a collected developer which reuses the collected developer; a conveying means of conveying the collected developer to the developing means for the collected developer; a collected developer supply means of supplying the collected developer conveyed to the developing means for the collected developer to the developing means for the collected developer; a developing means for the fresh developer; a fresh developer supply means of supplying the fresh developer to the developing means for the fresh developer; a fresh developer supply means of supplying the fresh developer to the developing means for the collected developer; and a means of mixing the collected developer and fresh developer in the developing means for the collected developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
